Why study at the Gosport Marine Skills Centre?
The Gosport Marine Skills Centre is a joint initiative between St Vincent College and the Mabway Academy to provide high-quality marine skills courses in Gosport to meet the future needs of employers and students.

Based initially at the waterside St Vincent Campus, in its recently refurbished engineering facility, the Gosport Marine Skills Centre offers a range of courses at all levels, providing you with the skills and knowledge to progress to further study or get a job. |

The Gosport Marine Skills Centre has also teamed up with the Ocean Youth Trust South and students will have the opportunity to take part in a five-day sailing experience on the OYT’s 72’ yacht John Laing. |

Depending on the level of course you take, you can also a range of additional qualifications, including: a Project or Extended Project, Functional Skills, GCSEs and AS & A-Levels. |

Another partner in the project is the Maritime Workshop, based on the St Vincent campus since 1982, and there will be opportunities to work with them on their maritime restoration projects. |

In partnership with Mabway Academy, you will also have the opportunity to use their purpose-designed training facility in Gosport for elements of your course. |

As a student at the centre, you are also part of St Vincent College, a thriving sixth form college with a wide range of enrichment opportunities including sport and the arts, as well as access to a well-equipped Learning Centre and a newly-refurbished refectory. |

The centre is also developing courses to support other marine sectors, such as the thriving cruise ship industry. |
